PARTIALLY CARBONISED FIBRES

Partially carbonised carbon fibres made of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibres are used for industrial applications (e.g. as an asbestos-free alternative for flat industrial packings and braided packing cords). The advantages include excellent mechanical properties, resistance to chemicals and thermal stability.

CARBON FIBRES

Multi-filament carbon fibre is manufactured from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and is used as mechanical reinforcement or for the realisation of electrical conductivity. The carbon fibres combine high tensile strength, a high modulus of elasticity and low density.
